Guest for the High Hopes Rubber Stamps Challenge: Animals

So excited! The card I entered in the High Hopes Challenge last week won! I love High Hopes Stamps!  They have been a favourite of mine for a long time.  Their stamps have such cute images and are so much fun to colour! I was invited to be a guest for the current challenge. Have to say, I love that!  So exciting waiting for the email that tells me what the topic is going to be. Being in on that little secret before everyone else.   The theme is: Animals.  You must use a High Hopes stamp to enter.  You must use a stamp of an animal or one with an animal on it. You can find out more info about the challenge    HERE.

I used the stamp Heidi and Mattie. I coloured this adorable pair with my Copic markers.  I cut them out and popped them up on a die cut.  I used a gatefold card base. I used Stampin Up cardstock and punches.  I popped up the sentiment and kept it two tone by folding the cardstock that I punched in half, used both colours and had the actual sentiment hold it together.

Thanks for stopping by!

Guest for the High Hopes Rubber Stamps Challenge 202

Guess who was invited to be a guest for the High Hopes Rubber Stamps Challenge 202.  Yes, that is correct, it is me! So excited to be invited to play along.  The theme for this challenge was to use something green on your card.  I chose to use Walkabout Wally and Cattails.  I love High Hopes Stamps!! Such adorable images and so much fun to colour!!
I used copic markers to colour this little guy and the cattails.  I popped both him and the additional cattails up on pop dots for some added dimension.  I finished the card off by sponging some ink around the edges.  All card stock is Stampin Up.
I couldn't resist stamping this little guy again on the inside.  I decided to wait and add a sentiment when I use the card.

Thanks for stopping by!

My Little Crafty Owl

Today's card is made by my 10 year old daughter Ashley.  She is becoming quite the card maker.  This is completely her own design.  I love the way she used the ribbon to make a window and a door.  Button for the doorknob is a nice touch as well.   I love how she coloured it! Thanks for stopping by!

High Hopes Rubber Stamps 200th Challenge

This is my entry into the High Hopes stamp challenge.  The theme is:  Use your favourite High Hopes Stamp.  I used Froggy Gift which was the very first stamp that I purchased from High Hopes stamps.  I coloured the little boy with copic markers.  Cardstock and dsp is from a CTMH kit that I had in my stash.  Thanks for looking. You can find out more info about the challenge   HERE.

Never Say Never

I  said I would never have a blog but here I am!!  I have discovered card challenges and having a blog just seems to be the way to go with this creative adventure. If you haven't participated in a card challenge I suggest you give it a try.  I must say it is quite addictive.   The most difficult part of setting up a blog was coming up with a name.  It seems like every name I considered was taken or just didn't fit. After almost two weeks of brainstorming names my 10 year old daughter was the one that came up with the current blog name. With a little tweaking from my work friends here we are.  Thanks for stopping by to check out my little creative spot on the net.
